Submission Information

Spring 2025 Submissions are Open!

Submission Guidelines

We ask that your submission complies with our submission guidelines.

Document Formatting

Documents should be submitted as a .doc or .docx file, with 12 point, Times New Roman font and double-spacing.

Citation Format

We ask that citations comply with the Chicago Manual of Style, 17th Edition and use either endnotes or footnotes.

Historical Focus

While papers may be written for any course, they must use the historical method, and draw on a combination of primary and secondary sources, and tackle a historical subject.

Undergraduate Scholarship

All papers must have been written during a student’s undergraduate years. We do not accept submissions from graduate students, independent researchers, or academics, unless the work was written as an undergraduate.

Academic Rigor

We will not accept submissions written for a course at the first-year (100/1000) level. Submissions must have received a grade of “A” or equivalent.

Exclusivity

The Journal will not republish papers. We ask that you inform us if you are submitting a paper to more than one journal, and let us know if you plan on moving forward with the publication process at another publication.
